Matariki is a time for remembering, sharing and the beginning of the Maori new year. We celebrated by making a soup and drinking it altogether with songs and dance. YUM!

Basketball with Miles
We are very happy to have Miles Pearce back taking basketball sessions with our classes. They absolutely love these sessions and it is great for both their fine and gross motor skills.

Wild Boy
Wild Boy came to visit us. His real name is Brando Yelavich. He was the first person to walk around the whole coastline of New Zealand. Wildboy had to live off the land and forage for food. He couldn't just get food at the shops. Wildboy had to stay strong and not give up. He says in life - 'You have to make your luck'. This term we are learning about staying strong - Kia Kaha.

Enviro Team Members
Members from Ruma Tahi and Ruma Rua have joined the Enviro Team. The Enviro team has been taking action to look after our school. This Thursday we picked up loads of rubbish at lunch time.
